I ate goat meat...

Okay so I have officially eaten goat meat. I honestly don't know why it freaked me out quite so much b/c it's really quite good. My Somali girls cooked some for me and it was really delicious. I'm not a very adventurous eater though. I like to stick to chicken and beef :) I had to remove the photos of my Somali family b/c of privacy reasons which I completely understand and I can't list their names so that's why if you read these posts there will be abbreviations. The job search is a nightmare! I wish there were more employers for these refugee families. Please keep them in your prayers.

A trip to the Dallas Aquarium

So today I was able to take my beautiful Somali kids to the aquarium :) I love it so much so I just thought it would be a really great experience for them too.
I was also honored by their mother when she introduced me to a friend as her daughter! awwwwwwww I think of them as my family as well and I just think they are so precious.

HARRY POTTER!!!

Oh my gosh, only 2 more days until Harry Potter comes out!!!! I can't wait!!! It looks like it's going to be great. I have a baby sitter lined up and everything for Wednesday night so hopefully tomorrow I can buy my tickets and get in on Wednesday! We had a great time yesterday at Fossil Rim exotic animal park and we got some really good pictures but they aren't uploading properly for some reason right now. I'll try again later I guess. I got to pet a zebra and a giraffe, tons of different type deer and antelope. I even got bitten by an ostrich! YIKES. A veterinarians dream :) Ezra had a mixed responce. I can't wait to take him back once he's older.

Henna...

So today I visited my lovely Somali family and I was honored by A.doing my hands in henna. It was really quite fun and relaxing. She'd only done it one other time before and couldn't remember quite what the designs were supposed to look like but S. was there trying to coach her. F. may have a job in the works so pray that everything work out. This was their last month to get any benefits so this little family is in desperate need for funds.

Back in town

Well we went to Shreveport for the 4th and got back this afternoon. I'm just exhausted. Keeping up with Ezzy is a full time job. He just would not eat or sleep while we were there b/c he just had too much to explore and too many people to visit. So I am glad to be home where we'll get some of our routine back. I get to see my Somali family tomorrow and I'm really excited. I bought several little English workbooks at Target of all places so I'm excited to go through those with the boys, hopefully they're interested :) I desperately need to get my hair done but I'm going to be working the next 9 days in a row - yuck! But it will be good for $$ so I just have to stay focused on the prize (Million). Michael still wants to wait for turn in our application but I'm just dying to start the process so while I wait I'm saving my money just in case :)
