Just a rat in a cage...

So Ezra's new favorite thing to do is to crawl into the dog's carrier and just hang out there. Michael got some really cute pics of him with Clovis playing around. We're doing good on our end. I went to the circus for my birthday which was really fun and once I can try to edit those pics I'll post them. They all came out really dark so I'm going to see what I can do. I keep hearing about other couples who adopted around the time that we did who are already started on their second adoptions and I'm quite jealous! I'm ready to start over again!!!

Cajun roots

This is a video of my grandfather and his twin brother. They are both in the Cajun Music Hall of Fame.

For my birthday I bought myself some photo editing software. I'm just doing the beginner type stuff with it but here are some of the "doctored" photos from our recent trip to Austin for my friend Trina's wedding shower, and to the "Inner Space" Caverns.

The Anatomy of a fit...

So this weekend we went to Austin for my friend Trina's bridal shower and we visited The Oasis Bar and Grill. It was recently featured in Southern Living Magazine so we wanted to go and check it out. It's perched up on a cliff and the decks stretch out over the water/off the side of the rock face. Of course b/c of this we didn't want Ezra roaming around on the balcony and he did NOT like being contained!!! This is his fit at not being able to do his own thing.

Dress up and dishwasher fun

Well right now I'm really hoping to get accepted into the Christian Veterinary Missions short terms missions group. I hope to teach veterinary students at Mekele University for 2 weeks. Mekele is where the boy we're interested in adopting lives so I would be able to visit the transition home there and see him which would be amazing! The bad news for us is that Michael's car died yesterday. The engine and radiator are done so now we have to junk it and get a new car and he's still not working yet. All this Navy paperwork is taking FOREVER!!!!! The other down side of the mission trip is that you have to pay your way so I'm hoping to be able to do some fundraising.

So Ezra's new favorite thing to do is to crawl into the dishwasher as I'm trying to unload it. These are a few pics of the process of getting a wooden spoon :)

When we went to Fossil Rim my brother Weston had this Groucho Marx type "disguise" so we each took turns putting it on. Ezra wasn't too excited about it though. By the way the cigarette looking thing is a little perfume spray bottle :)

This is a photo of my mom, my step dad, and my brother Weston.
